Remembering “Pixiewood” (Cinema of Pixie Hollow)

Fly with you! How has everyone been? After a long break, I am excited to start blogging again. 🙂

Pixie Hollow was more than just mini-games, colorful meadows, and dress up. There was community, and within it a culture developed. I am doing a series of blog posts that delves into this (feel free to do the same)!

Today’s post will be dedicated to one of the most memorable parts of pixie culture, the Youtube video community that made videos based on Pixie Hollow. Being such an important part of history, it contains some of the only video records of the game which won our hearts. Grab yourself some tea and cookies, then sit back as we fly through memory lane!

It was not uncommon to find music videos, skits, funny moments, and event footage being posted by players on Youtube, when Pixie Hollow was still around. Many of these players would garner lots of views and fans, earning them mass recognition in the actual game servers & community. They were quite literally the celebrities or “VIP” members of Pixie Hollow.

I mean, who remembers encountering them in servers and people crowding them?

I’m pretty sure this was the same case with you pixie bloggers/authors too! Marigold Sunjewel & some others were the first ones I’ve heard of way before I had a blog.

One of the most subscribed Pixie Hollow Youtubers ever…8.09k! Her channel contains tons of Pixie Hollow related content from little over a decade. She has videos documenting every new update, fashion collection, funny moment, and event in Pixie Hollow. Serendipity is also a talented artist with speed edits of her fairy and music videos.

So much creativity! Her well made music videos, and gorgeous 3D speed-edits are worth watching.

I am pretty sure she was part of the Pixie Hollow Pals girl group. It was a very popular channel, until it got hacked and deleted. However, you can watch some re-uploads of old PHP videos on her channel! Definitely worth watching.

I recommend you give these pixie stars of the past a watch, for a dose of nostalgia! ❤ There certainly is more out there, but I do not want to make this post too long. There has been a rise in current, active pixie channels, but I will save that for a future blog post. I am considering creating a section dedicated to the Pixie Hollow Youtube world or “Pixie Wood” as I like to call it.

Springtime Lookbook 2017

Fairy ABC, created by Windmuddle, is the best recreation of Pixie Hollow known to fairy. To sign up, you can simply make a forum account and login with the “Pixie Hollow” tab. Though it has glitches and it is not Pixie Hollow as we knew it, Windmuddle put in so much effort to create a flyable virtual world, with an entire community and access to friends.  Now we have the ability to create outfits. FairyABC is impressive, indeed!

Apart from the glitches, it is not that far from what we had in Pixie Hollow. In fact, I am able to have so much fun without being a member! As fashion was a big part of Pixie Hollow, I’m glad it is brought back.

Here are a bunch of spring-themed, accidental outfits I’ve created during the breaks from schoolwork.

Hairsticks From Lost Things (EASY) Tutorial

Hello, Pixies! This is my first tinkertastic creation post. Weather it’s used for effectively holding up hair while working, or just as an accessory with an outfit, hair sticks are a favorite of fairies of all talents. While in Pixie Hollow, twigs, metal scraps and deep sea treasures are used, here is the simple mainland way.

What you will need:

-Wood sticks (chopsticks work fine)

-Hot glue

– acrylic craft paint

– pliers

– pencil sharpener

– nail filer

– jewels and other decorations

Note: Adult supervision may be needed while using the pliers, and hot glue.

1. Start by trimming your chopstick to the size you need with pliers. Small chopsticks work best for short hair, mini-buns, and very young children while long and thicker ones work best for long and thick hair. After trimming, sharpen the end of the chopstick with a handheld pencil sharpener to get the tapered end back. Then, sand the end with a nail filer to make it rounded. 

2.  Now, it’s time for the fun part! Create a design for the top of the hair stick with a hot glue gun. Never glue in the middle or end, hair sticks need to fit in your hair without problems.

3. Now you can paint the hairstick any color you like with craft paint. If you want it to fit in easier, you can try putting decoupage or some other varnish after the paint dries. You can decorate it with pretty jewels and embellishments before or after painting.

All finished! 🙂 Now it’s time to replace the original meadow grass ribbon with hair sticks, Tinkerbell. A green one would look good on you!

It looks extremely cute on my model! These make great gifts for friends, too.

It is June 9th, and Summer is in the air! Pixies from all over Pixie Hollow celebrate the sunshine with the Garden Tea Party.

Summer is in the air and Pixie Hollow’s welcoming it with the Garden Tea Party, starting June 4!

Cassie’s Costume Shop will be your first stop for “tea-riffic” party hats! Wear the festive hats in the Tearoom and at the decorated tea tables set up in Neverfruit Grove, Sunflower Gully and Palm Tree Cove to earn badges, prepare tea, and share teatime treats with your pixie pals. Read the signposts to find out more!

Fawn will have a brand-new quest for Members, with a mystery (and paw-some reward) to uncover! Also, be sure to fly by the Ballroom to pick up some special Silly Sweets and earn a badge. As always, keep your eye on the Calendar for the June Fashion Spotlight and Tea Party fly-ins!

Pixies, you know what this means. It’s time to get in your tea party outfits, set the tables, stock up with sweets, and party as summer arrives!

How to Train Your Dragon and School of Dragons!

Hello pixies! I am a huge fan of How to Train Your Dragon and I decided to write a post about it. 😀 I LOVE  the movies, short films, the TV series, and the virtual world of HTTYD. If you haven’t heard about the movie How To Train Your Dragon (2010), it is about the bond between vikings and dragons in the island of Berk. It is a beautiful, creative and unique movie. How to Train Your Dragon 2 was released on June 13, 2014 with an astounding new animation style, wonderful soundtrack, and aged up characters.  I loved it soooo much! I want to fly so badly, the picturization was so convincing!

Like the Disney Fairies franchise, HTTYD has a virtual world too. And it is called…..*drum rolls* School Of Dragons!

Train dragons, and have endless adventures, high in the sky! This game is also meant to be an educational game. While you are having fun, lots of science facts will be learned. 🙂 Like Pixie Hollow, SOD is a wonderful MMORPG. You can check it out here. I really recommend pixies to check it out, even if you aren’t a fan of HTTYD… yet.

There are LOTS of things that Pixie Hollow has which this game doesn’t have. It’s a lot easier to make and keep friends in Pixie Hollow. In this game you can’t choose servers, you have to add friends and fly to them in order to be in the same server. However, the community is strong since it has a built in forums in the website. It also has glitches since it’s still young. Of course, both are different. I’m surprised that I found a game which Is a good as Pixie Hollow! Nothing compares to our Pixie Hollow. ❤

My viking’s name is Daisybelle in SOD! I really recommend this for all pixies. It’s time you became a viking! I will be posting tutorials and HTTYD related things a lot.

Since Spring is the season of awakening, renewal, and growth, I would like to take this opportunity to share my personal goals and aspirations:

• I will continue to reach out and tell all the pixie bloggers and commenters who seem to have vanished over the last several months that their presence is greatly missed, we still care about them, and we would welcome them back to our community with open arms ❤

Introduce myself!

Hello, fairies! My name is Daisybelle, but I simply go by Daisy.  My D-name is crystalclay and I was a lifetime player (to me,us) of Pixie Hollow (4-5 years)! I made my final decision-this will be my blog from now on.

About my fairies

 I had three fairies, (Camellia Firedrop,Vern Limesand, and Daisybelle). My main fairy is the most important, so I will introduce only her. In the future, if Pixie Hollow is back, all my fairies will be important.

Daisybelle was a level 28 water-talent fairy. Her casual day/nonmember clothing is in soft, calming, pastel blues. You may have seen her a lot in her signature outfit; Tundra Blue Hibiscus Top,Blue Maple Mini, Waterfall Blue Sash, complete with some jewelry and her Buttercup Blossoms “crown”. Here are some pictures below.
